Representatives of Divya Loka met with the Buddhist monks of Drepung Gomang monastery, which is the largest Buddhist Gelug University (India).

The IV official delegation of the monastery of Tashi Palden Drepung Gomang University studying philosophy, led by Geshe Lharamba Zhinpa arrived in Russia with an extensive program ended in Moscow by the traditional practice of contemplation and destruction of White Umbrella Tara mandala.

All the monks who came to Russia with a delegation passed a 15-year university tuition in Drepung Gomang monastery. Four monks have a degree of «Geshe», which corresponds to the European «Doctor of Science».

In the interview the importance of interfaith dialogue and open friendly relations between different religious traditions were discussed. Monks told about the Dalai Lama XIV, who is actively working on similar problems worldwide. The monastery of Drepung Gomang is under his direct spiritual protection.

Center for Vedic Culture «Divya Loka» presented to the monks an image of Saraha who is a great Indo-Buddhist Mahasiddha and an image of Tara, created by a monk in the icon tradition of Divya Loka.
