Yoga is a profound part of the Vedic culture. Yoga practices underlie at the heart of all Hinduism (Sanskrit "Sanatan Dharma") schools. Sanatana Dharma means "the eternal law" - the law of all beings’ evolution.
Advaita is an ancient doctrine that tells us about human nature as divine initially. "Advaita" can be translated as "not two". Soul is not separated from God. God is a reality that permeates everything.
On July 2013, Swami Vishnudevananda Giri and Divya Loka representatives met with the executive director and the Charge d'Affaires of the The World's Parliament of Religions – Dr. Mary Nelson and Ms. Phyllis Karot in the US. The World’s Parliament of Religions was founded in 1893. More than 120 years they have been spending their congresses in various cities around the world. The Parliament congresses are attended by spiritual leaders of all religious traditions and denominations.
Swami Ji presented his resolution «New interfaith ethics foundations for all the spiritual people of the world in the 3rd millennium» and the project "World Congress of the United Religions".
Meeting with the Charge d'affaires of Parliament, member of the Board of Trustees Ms. Phyllis Karot was held in New York in her summer residence. An anthropologist William Bushel also attended the meeting. Ms. Karot said about the operating principles, goals and philosophy of the organization, as well as about the upcoming Parliament of Religions in Guadalajara (Mexico) in 2015.
Swami Vishnudevananda Giri met with interim director Dr. Mary Nelson in Chicago, at the residence of the Parliament. Swami proposed to establish a permanent international interfaith platform that would provide an opportunity to be heard by the representatives of all religions. Ms. Nelson described the work of the Parliament for the recent years.
The meeting has resulted in a complete mutual understanding. The parties expressed the intention for further cooperation. The both representatives were invited to Divya Loka in Russia for acquainting with the Vedic tradition of the Russian Hindus.
Vedic culture is based on the Universe laws of evolution described in the scriptures of Hinduism "Vedas". They guide a human life, leading to harmony, happiness and creative prosperity.
