Yoga is a profound part of the Vedic culture. Yoga practices underlie at the heart of all Hinduism (Sanskrit "Sanatan Dharma") schools. Sanatana Dharma means "the eternal law" - the law of all beings’ evolution.
Advaita is an ancient doctrine that tells us about human nature as divine initially. "Advaita" can be translated as "not two". Soul is not separated from God. God is a reality that permeates everything.
In May 2013, a representative of Divya Loka visited St. Petersburg to meet with the traditional Eastern religious schools represented and to begin an inter-religious dialogue.
May 15, a Vedic temple in the tradition of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math was visited. It is located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.
At first the Center representative (Alena) participated in a Vedic ritual (puja), and then a conversation occurred. The senior brahmacari of the ashram – Prithu supported the idea of an interfaith roundtable event to discuss religious tolerance and respect for freedom of conscience in Russia. Brahmachari stressed the importance and timeliness of the interreligious dialogue.
Then Alena visited two Buddhist organizations of different schools: Temple "Datsan Gunzechoinei", and the center of Diamond Way Buddhism in Karma Kagyu tradition.
The Datsan that day celebrated the centenary of the first prayer done there. On the occasion of that the peoples offered to datsan a statue, a golden stupa, and Svetadvipa tank.
The second center visited, is included in the All-Russian Association of Buddhist Karma Kagyu school, bringing together more than 70 centers and groups.
There was a talk in the both organizations. The representatives of their schools were invited to participate in an interfaith roundtable to discuss issues of religious tolerance, and respect for freedom of conscience in Russia. It was agreed to participate roundtables and noted the importance of inter-religious dialogue.
Vedic culture is based on the Universe laws of evolution described in the scriptures of Hinduism "Vedas". They guide a human life, leading to harmony, happiness and creative prosperity.
