Yoga is a profound part of the Vedic culture. Yoga practices underlie at the heart of all Hinduism (Sanskrit "Sanatan Dharma") schools. Sanatana Dharma means "the eternal law" - the law of all beings’ evolution.
Advaita is an ancient doctrine that tells us about human nature as divine initially. "Advaita" can be translated as "not two". Soul is not separated from God. God is a reality that permeates everything.
Participants of the Third International Scientific-Practical Conference «Religion in Russia: problems of social service and patriotic education», representatives of various religious denominations, secular society and the academic community have visited the Center for Vedic Culture «Divya Loka», about which told the audience professor and Doctor of Social Sciences Galina Shirokalova on the conference. The scientists were particularly interested in this phenomenon in connection with a TV report about the Vedic Culture Center on channel «Russia 1», the trustworthiness of which they have decided to check personally.
More than twenty members of the scientific community, including academics, doctors and professors acquainted with the life of the Vedic monastery, visited temples and attended a worship service, which runs every day in Divya Loka.
Divya Loka is a very interesting experience of creating a Hindu religious organization in the heart of Russia. I find it useful that here the monks and parishioners are for the principles of freedom of conscience and interfaith contacts. I think it ought to be appreciated by our society and public authorities», - said the famous Russian theologian, Ph.D., a member of the International Religious Liberty Association Sergei Ivanenko.
Professor Igor Liseev, Doctor of Philosophy has also shared his impressions: «I represent the Philosophy Institute of Russian Academy of Science, which is the largest scientific center. With a huge interest I have visited your place, met with your wonderful team, your traditions, achievements, successes, and they are impressive. I have visited a great variety of Buddhist centers in various datsans of the country, and I should say that your monastery is one of the best».
Religious scholars have noted that the TV report of «Russia 1» about Divya Loka has nothing to do with the reality. They also expressed a desire to come back again to this place of interest in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
At the end of their visit the delegates left some comments: «We, the participants of the Third International Conference» Religion in Russia: problems of social service and patriotic education «held 2-5 October 2013 in Nizhny Novgorod, representatives of various religious denominations, secular society and representatives of the academic community, we are grateful to the Center for Vedic Culture «Divya Loka» for a warm and sincere welcome. Monks held a wide tour for us. We could see the life of the monastery and the practice of worship in the Hindu tradition. May Divya Loka be successful and prosperity and have patience in preserving their culture and religion».
Vedic culture is based on the Universe laws of evolution described in the scriptures of Hinduism "Vedas". They guide a human life, leading to harmony, happiness and creative prosperity.
